Albert Allen
Haynes
Dec 20, 1938 — Apr 23, 2020
Albert Allen Haynes was born December 20, 1938 in Independence, Missouri to Albert H. Haynes and Ruth (Leise) Haynes. He passed away April 23, 2020 in Kansas City, Missouri.
He was raised on a farm in Limona, Iowa and was the youngest of three children. He had an older brother Donald and an older sister, Hazel. His family moved to Lee's Summit, Missouri in his late teens when Allen attended mechanic school. He was baptized at a young age and was a member of the RLDS church.
Allen was united in marriage to Algia Josephine Hoadashelt at a young age and moved to Midland, Texas. This union was blessed with three children, David, Wendy and Roger.
At a later date Allen moved back to Missouri where he met Veda Jo Bailey. They were married on January 1, 1968. This union was blessed with one daughter, Pamela Sue. Allen and Veda resided in Independence, Missouri for 35 years. Allen worked as an auto mechanic for a number of the Ford dealerships in the Kansas City area. Although he worked on Fords, at heart he was a Chevy man. He owned and restored many classic cars. He enjoyed working on them, restoring them and driving them…usually fast. He was a Hot Rod!
Allen and Veda retired to Veda's homestead farm in the Quincy, Missouri area in 2000. Allen made many good friends here and would go to coffee with the boys a couple of times every week, where the topic was probably cars.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother and one brother.
Allen is survived by his wife Veda Jo, of the home; son, David (Wendy) of Wyle, Texas; daughter, Wendy (Ken) of Kansas City, Missouri; son, Roger of Texas; daughter, Pamela Sue (Mike) of Quincy, Missouri; grandchildren, Kristen, Matthew, Brian, Laura, Bradley and Michelle; six great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel, many nieces and nephews and friends.
