Cathy Lou Baker was born on August 30, 1949 to Francis and Mable (Claypole) McElwee in Polo, Missouri. She grew up in the Tatesville community. She married Don Baker in November of 1985. Cathy worked for Hallmark cards for 35 years. She loved her cats, dogs and grandchildren.

Cathy is preceded in death by her grandparents Fred and Verna McElwee; her parents, Francis Eugene "Gene" and Mable Joan McElwee as well as one brother Randy Kent McElwee.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Don Baker; son Chris Tanner, Scott Baker, Kelly (Bryan) Briggs; Grandchildren Conner Tanner, Ashton Tanner, Sierra Halsted, Thaddeus Wilson, Lilly Baker, Violette Baker, Trinity Briggs, Gracey Briggs, Destiny Briggs and Brayden Briggs as well as one great grandchild Chandler.
