Donald J
Boller
Apr 30, 1933 — Nov 15, 2019
Donald Joseph Boller was born April 30, 1933 in Plainville, Kansas to Virgil and Alice (Rostocil) Boller passed away in his home on November 15, 2019 in the presence of his family.
He lead a full and rewarding life. Growing up, his family moved around in Kansas and Colorado working mainly in farming. In 1953, he enlisted in the United States Air Force serving in the Korean War. Don was a lifelong learner and loved sharing knowledge. He earned his teaching degree from Northeast Missouri State Teacher's College and worked as an educator as a teacher in the classroom, a principal and a superintendent. One of his favorite things was teaching about nature and conservation. He was a consultant with the Missouri Department of Conservation and enjoyed teaching conservation in the classroom.
In 1976, he married Louise, and lovingly became a father to her two daughters. He taught at Platte County R-3 and worked for Public Water Supply District #4 until he retired.
Don was very special, loving and kind, never hesitating to help anyone who needed it. His faith in Jesus kept him strong and he was a testimony to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Alice Boller; his brother, Bill Boller; and his son, Stephen Duane Boller.
Don is survived by his wife, Louise; daughters, Crystal and husband, Mike, and Jeana and husband, Dan. He thoroughly enjoyed his six grandchildren Reece, Asher and wife Bre, Joey and wife Erin, Kealy, Bailey and McKennah.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in remembrance of Donald Boller to either: AMVETS Post 181 (PO Box 2156, Independence, MO 64055) or Northpointe Church (9611 N. Locust Drive, Kansas City, MO 64155).
