Richard Carl Shutt was born June 14, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri to William and Betty (McCormick) Shutt.  He passed away peacefully April 13, 2021 near Deepwater, Missouri.

He was enjoying retirement and was a dedicated caretaker to his father.  He loved to hunt and fish especially with his children, and had a long career at the Belton School District of 23 years.

Richard is preceded in death by his mother Betty Shutt, sister Rebecca Herzer, and brothers in law Edwin Herzer and Mark Shriver.

He leaves his father William Shutt, wife Carol of 41 years, son CJ and wife Merrissa, son Darren and wife Brianna, daughter Jackie Shutt, sister Regina Shriver, niece Emily and husband Dan Weida, several aunts, uncles, cousins  and the love of his life granddaughter Caradyn.
